Wheelchair Taxi Clyde

Clyde is one of the fastest-growing pockets in the City of Casey, still filling in with new streets on the map. We run wheelchair-accessible taxis through here daily, with ramp or hoist-equipped vehicles and drivers trained for mobility assistance.
Medical appointments, the airport, or a trip to see family all run the same way. Chairs travel secured inside the vehicle, and nobody is rushed getting in or out.
We also carry NDIS participants who manage their own transport funding. Booking works the same as any other trip: call or book online, and we send an accessible vehicle with a driver who knows what to do with it.
- Ramp and hoist-equipped vehicles for manual and powered wheelchairs
- Drivers trained in assisting elderly and mobility-impaired passengers
- Accessible transport suitable for NDIS participants, self-managed and plan-managed
- One-off trips or standing weekly bookings
- Servicing Clyde and the surrounding area, 24 hours a day
Why Choose Wheelchair Taxi Clyde
Clyde is still being built out, with new streets appearing faster than some map apps keep up with. A driver who can find the address is only half the job. The other half is a vehicle that can actually take a wheelchair safely once they arrive.
Many of our passengers travel on subsidised fares through the Victorian Government’s Multi Purpose Taxi Program. If you think you might be eligible, it is worth checking before you book.
You can book a single trip or set a standing weekly booking if you travel regularly. If you would like the same driver each time, say so when you book and we will do our best to arrange it. You can also see every area we cover on our suburbs page.
Frequently Asked Questions
My address in Clyde doesn’t show up properly on maps. Is that a problem?
Not for us. Give us a nearby landmark or lot number in the booking notes and the driver will find you.
Can NDIS participants book Wheelchair Taxi Clyde?
Yes. We carry NDIS participants who self-manage or plan-manage their own transport funding, alongside our regular bookings.
Do you offer standing weekly bookings in Clyde?
We do, and they’re common here, particularly for recurring appointments. Give us the schedule and we’ll set it up as a standing booking.
Can your vehicles take a powered wheelchair or mobility scooter?
Yes. Every vehicle is fitted with a ramp or hoist, and drivers are experienced securing manual chairs, powered chairs and scooters alike.
Do I need to book Wheelchair Taxi Clyde in advance?
Not always. Local trips can often be booked with a few hours’ notice, though a day ahead is best for airport runs or busy periods.
Still have a question? Get in touch and we will answer it before you book.
What to expect when the car pulls up in Clyde
Clyde is still filling in, so some addresses sit on new streets that map badly. A landmark or lot number in the booking notes saves the driver circling.
Once there, the ramp comes down or the hoist comes out before the passenger moves. Chairs and scooters are secured inside. Nobody gets lifted out of a chair unless they ask to move to a seat.
Drivers allow 15 minutes at each end of the trip.
Arranging a Clyde trip for someone else
Relatives and support coordinators book a good share of our Clyde work.
We need the passenger’s name, a working contact number, and the equipment travelling with them. Standing bookings suit anyone on a regular medical or appointment schedule, and we aim to send the same driver each time.
How fares work
Trips run on the meter under Victorian commercial passenger vehicle rules, or on a fixed quote if you ask when booking.
The fare is settled at the end. Let us know at booking if someone else is covering it.
